After pursuing a career in surgery, Dr Yee transitioned into procedural general practice. He holds a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer, serves as a Senior Lecturer for the University of Queensland Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer) Program, and has a special interest in spinal medicine and surgery.
Dr Yee has embarked on a road less travelled. Most doctors follow a set career path, completing their primary medical degree and then choosing a specialty and pursuing it.
Dr Yee took a different route. This gives him a breadth and depth of clinical expertise that benefits patients.
After commencing training to become a surgeon, Dr Yee switched specialties and became a specialist procedural GP. Today, his thriving subspecialty practice focuses on skin cancer and spinal conditions.
Dr Yee has a high degree of expertise in both areas, with a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer and over five years of training in surgery.
Thanks to his extensive training, Dr Yee can be present at each stage of your care, from your initial consultation to performing minor surgery or assisting in the operating theatre should you need major surgery.
