Dr Joshua Yee welcomes referrals from both doctors and allied health professionals.
Patients may attend without a referral, but this documentation provides valuable clinical information to inform care. Referrers will receive written correspondence regarding treatment to maintain continuity of care.
Dr Yee is a procedural GP with subspecialty training in spinal surgery and holds a Master of Medicine in Skin Cancer.
Assessment, diagnosis, in-clinic procedures, surgical assistance and post-operative follow-up, with one clinician overseeing the whole treatment plan.
Five years of surgical experience plus subspecialty training in spinal medicine through AO Spine. Experienced in non-surgical management and also able to assist in surgery when needed, maintaining continuity of care.
General practice expertise means the referred skin or spinal concern is considered in light of a patient’s broader health and risk factors.
Minor surgical procedures performed onsite, larger ones performed at Archer Street Day Hospital. Eligible patients with private health insurance may receive a substantial rebate for procedures undertaken in this setting.
Regularly assists in theatre with colleagues from oncology, general surgery, spinal surgery and neurosurgery, supporting a smooth pathway for surgical patients.
Total-body photography skin checks and dermoscopy support detection of suspicious lesions and ongoing surveillance.
Works in partnership with referrers and provides clear, written updates after assessment and treatment to support coordinated care.
Training the next generation of clinicians as a Senior Lecturer for the University of Queensland Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer) program, and as a teaching faculty member for Clinpath and Sonic Health.
Co-authored evidence-based research publications in skin cancer and spinal medicine.
